the will of god

E. Conclusion

In the fifth library topic, “The Gospel – God’s Love”, and in the first part of this topic “salvation”, we learned that God’s will for our lives is that we believe in Jesus, that we believe the Gospel message and be saved. We all have sinned and need forgiveness and reconciliation with God. The forgiveness of all our sins and the righteousness that one needs to have fellowship with God can only be found through faith in Jesus Christ. We urge any considering these issues not to delay or neglect this great salvation which God has provided at great cost. Multitudes have taken this step of faith and their lives were never the same again. You too can trust in Christ right now.

Having trusted in Jesus as our Savior from sin we can then move on to embrace the next step in God’s will for our lives, Sanctification. God wants to bless us by turning us away from old sinful ways, and by renewing and transforming our hearts and minds, so that He can give us a brand-new life in Christ. As we walk by the Spirit of God and the Word of God we can find victory over destructive patterns of life that may have enslaved us for years. While the process at times is difficult and slow, and there may be setbacks that discourage us along the way, the end result will be well worth it. We will enjoy the inner peace and joy that comes with the victorious Christian life on earth and we will look forward to our eternal home in heaven with Jesus and the rest of the redeemed.

Along with the new person that we are becoming as followers of Jesus the new believer now has a new purpose in life as well – to be of service to God and others! While in our past life before being saved we might have only had our own best interest at heart, now because we have experienced the love of God showered upon our lives, we are free to be of service to others with a heart filled with the love of God. Perhaps for the first time in our life we will experience for ourselves that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

At the bottom of this page there are three additional opportunities to take that first step of faith if you have not already done so. See the links below to: “Knowing God”, “A New Life”, and “Heaven or Not”.

God has a plan and purpose for our lives which we will find when we fully embrace His love for us and His will for our lives. May God bless all those who continue to seek Him!

I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jerimiah 29:11)
