H. Conclusion
The written record of the New Testament regarding the life and teachings of Jesus Christ is astounding. For those who embrace the reliability of the New Testament as a trustworthy historical document there is but one conclusion: Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this world to speak the words of God and to reveal and establish the truth.
With this conclusion in mind our attention is now turned back again to the Bible. Do we still view the New Testament as a reliable historical document only? Is there reason to consider this unique collection of first century writings as more than a reliable account given by honest men which was carefully passed down to us through the ages? And what about the nature of the Old Testament scriptures? Has God somehow spoken to our world through them as well? We will answer those questions in the next topic, “The Bible – God’s Word”.
